Podcasts by First Blog Media

podcast2-1.jpg

You might have noticed the Podcast section in the sidebar on the right. The podcasts are done by First Blog Media, free of charge, because of my participation in a contest over at Darren Rowse’s ProBlogger.

So far they have produced two quality Podcasts for me, and there should be about 22 more in this 2 a month yearly contract.

With the help of Photoshop, Macbook Pro, and my friend Mark, I came up with the following Podcast Icon. Let me know if you like one of my first attempts at Graphic Design.

Twitter is Functional

twitter.jpg

The moral of the story is that I’ll be using Twitter more often. It’s a great way to keep in contact, get feedback, and grow a community that does a great job complementing a blog.

For this reason, I recommend logging into www.twitter.com and adding me as a friend on www.twitter.com/alexshalman.

I use Twitter to instantly send updates out to my friends as soon as a new article is posted on this site. I’ve rigged it up to happen automatically. This was really convenient while I was away in Israel because I had all the articles post-dated and then Twitter got the word out.

In the future I plan to have special events, contests and polls surrounding my Twitter account. If you haven’t done so, sign up and add me.

feel like a detox again

Lately, I’ve been thinking of doing another 7 days detox program but due to my busy schedule, it’s been hard to get started. The nice thing about working in my home office is that I can do my juicing during the detox program though I am tempted to peek into the fridge every now and then. But if you never done a detox, you should do your body a favor. It’s really not that hard. All it takes is commitment, discipline and the heart to have a cleansed body and put in the necessary efforts to achieve your goals.
